1.6- Memories

All of Mia’s hard work was beginning to pay off. Her plants were already at Excellent quality, thanks to her bees, and she had managed to catch a Cowplant Berry while she was fishing. But the closer she came to completing her generational goal, the more nervous she grew. She had managed to keep herself busy, which meant she didn’t have much time to think about the fact that she was yet to meet her Prince Charming. Instead, she had been helping others with their happily ever afters. Granted, the whole Gavin and Brooklyn thing didn’t end the way she had hoped, but at least they remained friends.

Bob and Eliza, on the other hand, was a huge success. Not only was the romantic aspect of their marriage brought back to life, there was about to be a new addition to their family. They were going to be having their first child any day now.

And then there was Alex and Summer. Theirs was possibly the greatest love story Mia had ever had the pleasure of knowing. They were inseparable from the moment they confessed their feelings for each other.

Alex had become a lot more sure of what she wanted since she and Summer got together. Summer seemed to be a big boost to her confidence as well. When Alex proposed, there was no hesitation or uncertainty in Summer’s heart. She knew instantly that this was the woman she wanted to spend the rest of her life with. So, of course, she said yes.

‘Yes,’ Mia smiled to herself as she watched the happy couple. ‘Definitely the greatest love story by far.’

The next day, Mia invited Alex and Summer over to share some exciting ideas with them. “So, as you guys know, I plan to build a beautiful community park. And one of the things I want to include is this wedding arch. But I was thinking, wouldn’t it be amazing if the arch came with memories, a beautiful love story?”

“What exactly are you saying?” Alex asked.

“I’d like you two to be the first to get married under it.” Mia smiled.

“Wow!” Summer exclaimed. “Are you sure you don’t want to be the first? After all, it is your park you are building.”

“I’ve never been more sure of anything. You guys are two of my best friends. It would mean the world to me to include a wedding arch that holds the memories of your love story.”

Summer looked at her fiance. “Well, it would be pretty cool to be the first ones to be married under it. What do you think?”

“Let’s do it. Let’s get married right now.” Alex smiled lovingly at Summer.

And so, they were married. A new chapter had begun for Alex and Summer. Mia felt happy for the two of them, and knew that her happily ever after was not that far away either.
