1.7- Harvestfest

As the Harvestfest gnomes gathered around, Mia’s plants began to evolve into magnificent quality. With only one evolve left before they are perfect, it was a time for celebration. Mia called her friends and invited them over. It was good timing- Alex and Summer had just returned from their honeymoon.

“Oh, it was magical.” Alex described their trip. “We had such an amazing time. And the locals are so friendly.”

“A little too friendly sometimes,” Summer smirked.

“What do you mean?” Mia looked at Summer.

“Alex was very popular with the ladies,” Summer rolled her eyes. “And she certainly enjoyed it.”

“Summer, please stop. I told you already, I wasn’t flirting with any of them. I wouldn’t do that to you.” Alex sighed.

Mia put her hands up. “Wow, you guys. You two were so in love last time I saw you. Your relationship is so inspiring. Don’t let some random people ruin that. It’s a known fact that a married person becomes a lot more attractive to single people.”

“It is?” Alex laughed.

“Yes, it’s true. I guess they see them as someone who has it all figured out and they want that too.”

“That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard!” Summer bursts into laughter. “Where did you hear that?”

Mia shrugs. “I read it. There was a study done and a majority of single people said they find an unavailable person more attractive.”

“I agree with Mia. The amount of married men I’ve pursued, then the moment their divorce is final, I lose interest.” Katrina grinned, sheepishly.

“Uh, wow..” Mia stared at her. “You’re joking, right?”

Mia decided it was time to wrap up the celebrations. Summer was getting more and more paranoid, especially after Katrina’s confession and Alex was driving herself crazy trying to convince Summer that she would never do anything to hurt her.

After her friends left, Mia had a surprise waiting for her by the greenhouse. Her cowplant was now fully grown and so full of love.

“Aren’t you just the cutest?’ Mia smiled as she stared at the creature in front of her.
